NXT's Stress Field Detection (SFD® ) technology will be used for the first time in our pilot 500 Kw geothermal energy at Sunchild First Nation. The technology has been used in the hydrocarbon sector to find areas that are conducive for fluid entrapment based on subsurface pressure/stress evaluation. The structural configuration and acquisition parameters of the SFD sensors have been modified for geothermal application .
