Roberto is a former executive of large companies engaged in steel, chemicals, and integrated energy operations, and with over 35 years of senior management experience. He handled administration and human resources management functions at Philippine National Oil Company’s eight (8) subsidiary corporations which included geothermal exploration and development. He also became the Administration Manager of Borden Chemicals (Phil.) and Senior Vice-President of Philippine Steel Holding Corporation. His most recent engagements were as HR Director at River Cree Resort in Edmonton, Alberta, and as Corporate Services Manager at Hi-Flyer and Olympus Foods, Canada.
His graduate and undergraduate education was in the field of Economics. He taught economics subject in several universities in the Philippines and lectured at Micro Business Center in Edmonton, Alberta.

Bernardo is a seasoned geologist who was part of the pioneering group that started geothermal exploration and development in the Philippines in the mid 70’s that culminated with the Philippines now having 2,000 MW of clean and renewable source of electricity. He held the position of Geoscientific Manager, then General Manager of the Geothermal Division of Philippine National Oil Company – Energy Development Corporation and managed the training program in 4 international venues for more than 100 geological and engineering personnel of the division. He also implemented a geothermal work program for 15 projects in Japan from 1988 to 1996. He travelled to New Zealand, Iceland, Italy, and USA for geothermal collaborations.
Bernie is Chairman and CEO of FEDS Energy Resource Development Inc from 2011 to present.

He worked for over 35 years with the Alberta government addressing the industry’s workforce needs and promoting career ambitions of Albertans with emphasis in attracting untapped workforce within the First Nations, Metis and Inuit communities.
